Zoom Buggy—Lesson Three (Anticipation)
What fun we had today, with “go and stop”. So many different reactions each time we moved around the room and then…stopped!
Babies and small children alike enjoy the anticipation and delightful surprises of stop and go songs such as Riding in the Buggy. Simple games that are predictable and have an element of anticipation help your baby remember, recognize, and anticipate specific patterns in sounds, words, and songs. These first steps of pattern recognition will lead toward understanding more difficult patterns in areas such as math, literacy, and music.
This week personalize your own Riding in the Buggy song and turn dressing your baby into a fun “stop and go” game. (Putting on your shirt Baby Ella, Baby Ella…). End the song with an unexpected kiss and tummy tickle!
“ Go” and enjoy your week together!
